Not entirely sure how we ended up with 2 Guest Books but the majority of people have posted here -

The linked Guest Book will be in place until June 2013.

Thank you,

John's passing has been forwarded to all of his brother Bandits from the USS Torsk SS-423, courtesy of Larry "Doc" Derouin. John's humor brought some serious laughs from a whole slew of us who were lucky enough to know him and call him Shipmate. Lynn... he will be missed by more people than you may realize, but please know that we will all be thinking about you and his family during this very difficult time.

Heartfelt thanks to all who have shared remembrances here, at the service and through the many calls and cards. The Subvets went well beyond the call of duty and are to be commended.

The memories and support shown by his friends are the true testimony of a man who touched many lives.

Dad will be missed....

John was a good "shipmate" and friend. His life touched many people, especially those of us who rode submarines. His passing will be mourned even as we celebrate all the gifts he left by being a treasured part of our live

John, I'll miss you. You were a good shipmate and friend and we had a lot fun together standing watches in the Conning Tower on the old USS Conger SS-477. Who loves ya? I do!

This has been a sad week for me to learn of John's passing. Perhaps my best friend on the East Coast. I notice I am just 10 days older than John was. Lynn, please take care of yourself.
