DARRELL ADDISON HAYNES passed away peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, Wednesday July 25, 2012. He was born in Great Bend, Kansas, January 27, 1936 to the late Bernice and Harold Haynes. He was the beloved husband of 49 years of Dorothy (Paul) Haynes. He was the much-loved father to Lynn Burrell, Donna Valley, and Darelyn Haynes. He had a special place in his heart for son-in-law Dave Burrell. He was the grandfather to Jeff Burrell and wife Erica, Mathew Burrell and Jess Horan, and Christopher Valley. His pride and joy was his great grandchildren, Alex, Jayden and Bryce Burrell. He served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy and worked at Electric Boat for 22 years. He enjoyed his special friends at the Groton Senior Center and looked forward to the weekly card games. He was a special man and would do anything for his family. He will be loved and missed by us all. Following Darrell’s wishes his burial will be private.
