Marcel D. Dion, 84, formerly of Cranston Dr. in Groton passed away Apr. 20, 2012 at the Fairview in Groton. He was born on Apr. 22, 1927 in Canada and had been married to the late Gisele Labbe Dion. Mr. Dion was a self- employed Dental Technician, having owned and operated the Dion Dental Lab for many years. Besides his love of family and work, Mr. Dion enjoyed fishing, hunting and Eastern Point Beach in Groton. He is survived by his 3 children Arlene Wilbur and husband Tim of East Lyme, Jacques Dion and his partner Richard Petrucci of Ellington, CT, Peter Dion and his wife Gail of Niantic and 6 grandchildren Brandon, Bryan, Steven, Jeffrey, Mallory and Gregory. Graveside services to be held at the St. Mary Cemetery in New London will be private; and there are to be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, his family has requested thhat donations in his memory be directed to the Fairview Patient's Recreation Fund, 235 Lestertown Rd., Groton, CT 06340. Byles- Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St, is assisting his family with the arrangements.
